PDO Threads

PDO Threads

A PDO thread lift is a non-surgical "face lift" where facial skin is lifted and tightened using Polydioxanone (PDO) threads. These threads are anchored and inserted into different layers of the skin using cannulas, instantly lifting and tightening sagging skin.

There are three main types of PDO threads: smooth, barded, and cog threads. Each type is designed for a slightly different treatment and use. Your provider can help you understand which threads would be best for you.

PDO threads are inserted under the skin where the fat pads are. There is minimal pain associated with this procedure. All procedures are done under local numbing, similar to going to the dentist. The PDO threads then promote your body’s own production of collagen, creating a lifting effect for 12-24 months after the procedure.  Many times, having a few more threads 3 months after the procedure help give the lift a boost and increase the longevity. The threads become a support structure for your face, allowing natural collagen and elastin production to take place and maintain that lift.

Chemical Peels

A chemical peel exfoliates the skin by removing the superficial layer and revealing the new, regenerated skin underneath. The treatment is effective in improving the healthful appearance of skin on the face, neck, hands, and back. Chemical peels leave your skin smoother, more even toned, and also help alleviate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
